Mudmap is an image and video magazine based in Berlin, exploring visual culture through video essays, video letters, critical articles, and experimental media projects.
Our work moves across media, from medieval illustrations to video games. It engages with politics and spectacles, intimacy, and human life in the cloud, asking how representation shapes perception, power, and collective imagination.
In a context of visual overload and compulsive production, Mudmap slows things down.
Mudmap operates as a small, independent editorial collective. Closely connected to contemporary art and cinema, the project is not limited to the art world and is driven by a specific interest in image and video as critical, cultural, and political forms.
